Facilitated Visioning, Strategy and Growth Planning Workshops.
Custom sessions secured alignment to overarching vision and strategies, generated a wide range of growth opportunities and crafted innovation horizon maps for clients such as: Avery-Dennison, Pampered Chef, and CCD Innovation.
Designed and Facilitated Inspiration, Ideation and Co-Creation Workshops.
Workshops leveraged people of diverse backgrounds and thinking styles to generate a wide range of profitable opportunity ideas and inform new product roadmaps for a variety of clients including: Bimbo Bakeries, Avery-Dennison, Frito-Lay, Uncle Ben’s, Disney and Playmates Toys.
Guided Challenge Framing/Reframing
Workshops & Training.
Led workshops to frame both innovation and open/collaborative innovation challenges from a new perspective for a broad range of clients including: NASA, Bayer, and BD. Trained teams to master the ability to to identify the right problems to solve and reframe problems to unlock a vast array of solutions over time.
Piloted New Ideation and Culinary Protocept Development Workshop.
Led custom ideation workshop for Taco Bell and their strategic partners yielding the creation of their top selling food item to date. Successful workshop pilot transitioned to a repeatable and sustainable methodology client continued to use.
Managed Singularity University (SU) Lab’s Disruption Workshops.
Inspired ways to leverage accelerating technologies to disrupt categories and drive transformative growth for clients including: Coca-Cola, P&G, Anheuser-Busch, Bayer, BD, Caterpillar and Harman.
Launched SU Lab’s First Science Fiction Design Intelligence Workshop.
Co-designed and managed new workshop where futurists, technology experts and Sci-Fi writers & illustrators collaborated with leaders from 7 diverse corporations to leverage future world building and backcasting tools to co-design the “Future of Home”; results presented via graphic novel.

Directed Development of Breakthrough Concepts and New Product Formulations.
New products delivered top-line growth for a large number of companies including: Ben & Jerry's, General Mills, Pepperidge Farms, Quaker Foods, Papa Murphy’s, Birds Eye, ConAgra, Safeway, Unilever and Maybelline.
Oversaw Corporate Incubator Teams at SU Lab's Exponential Innovation Outpost.
Guided incubator teams onsite to explore the unknown, exchange ideas and experiment in disruptive spaces. Provided mentorship, networking, partnerships, speaker events, and competitions.
Crafted Meal Solution 5-Year New Product Roadmap for ConAgra & Created New Grocery Category.
Led team with insights research, opportunity identification and concept/protocept exploration activities. First product launched established a new grocery category and kicked off a multi-year meal solution expansion plan.
Developed New Business Platform for Avery-Dennison.
Consultant acting as an internal change agent to direct cross-functional teams through the entire discovery & development process for ideation and commercialization success. Extended sales and brand equity to new consumer and channel segments.

Design & Embed
Innovation Capability
Developed & Instituted New Global “Culinary Innovation Process.”
Collaborated with key stakeholders to build a new internal chef-based front-end innovation capability for a world-class snack food company. Composed and led training program to facilitate process adoption by multiple divisions of the parent company. Upon implementation, new process has delivered many new products significantly contributing to rapid business growth.
Co-Created & Launched “Innovation Center of Excellence (ICOE)."
Partnered with senior leaders of large CPG company to improve their innovation capability (process, tools, culture and people). Designed and instituted the ICOE to incorporate a disciplined process with the flexibility of an entrepreneurial environment. Produced training curriculum and led training for innovation marketing teams to foster a culture of innovation and embed new process implementation know-how.
Conceived and Introduced “Collaborative Innovation Services” for InnoCentive’s Crowd Sourcing Platform.
Designed culture-change tools (e.g. client communications and awards programs) and then trained teams at organizations such as Boehringer-Ingelheim, NASA, and Rockefeller Foundation to more effectively integrate Innocentive’s collaborative innovation crowd-sourcing platforms across their organizations.
Designed Agile “Fast to Market” Product Development and Go-to-Market Capability.
Led cross-functional client team “challenges & opportunities” workshops and proposed methodology that enabled newly acquired division of a large CPG company to rapidly launch 40+ products per year.
Established a Sustainable “Creative Process Facilitator” Capability.
Designed custom online curriculum, trained and certified in-house Facilitators for teams at Zippo to consistently develop winning ideas and drive more rapid progress toward new value creation.
Built & Piloted “Launch Readiness Review" Process.
Introduced a sustainable, repeatable Launch Readiness Review process for cross-functional teams of a large CPG company to use to ensure that new products are ready to ship and launch activities are competitive and on track.

Develop & Execute
Innovative Insights Research
Created and Led Multi-Sensory "Beverage Experience Lab."
Designed user-centered qualitative research to leverage multi-sensory culinary design techniques. Partnered with Australian-based innovation research firm to identify key consumer insights and define new market opportunities for a global beverage company.
Conceptualized Millennial-Focused Qualitative and Quantitative Research.

Designed new approach specifically to provide a better way to uncover actionable insights amongst Millennial/GenY consumers. Capitalized on this growing market by presenting results at industry conferences and offering this custom research methodology as a new service for CCD Innovation clients.
Co-Designed and Oversaw Implementation of Innovative Research Methodologies.
Responsible for a plethora of research programs that resulted in the identification and translation of key insights driving in-market new product success for companies such as: ConAgra, Maybelline & Unilever.
Developed and Facilitated “Trend Experience Journeys.”

Designed in person experiential research approach to educate and inspire cross-functional teams, external experts and creative consumers prior to co-creation workshops. Participants explore first-hand consumer, marketplace and product trends in addition to current and future packaging, product design & manufacturing capabilities.
